Microcosm Computers, Inc was established here in York Maine in 1995. Our goal was to introduce a small, local business which focused its attention to providing quality, custom built computer systems to homeowners and small businesses in the seacoast area and additionally providing quality support for everyone. Well, we did that and then some. Our business has continued to grow every year thanks to our loyal customers and their “word of mouth” referral that goes much further than any printed advertisement that our “competition” finds necessary. For that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and in that we will continue to welcome our many existing, loyal customers and all new clients to our growing “family” of friends.
We found that, like us, many individuals wanted to outfit their home or office with a quality built PC that had the support/backing of a local business that would always be there for them in their time of need. I believe that our reputation speaks for itself! Since our inception we have built over 3,000 workstations and servers. Incredibly we still service some of the first computers we built!!!! We use only top quality components for added reliability and since we purchase directly from Intel, we offer next day replacement of all major components during the course of the three year warranty period offered by ©Intel Corporation. Yes, that’s right, no need to purchase a three year extended warranty when you purchase your PC from Microcosm because we purchase parts that the manufacturer offers a three year “built in” warranty. Like you, we hate the idea of a salesman trying to tap a bit deeper in your wallet when you have already spent good money on what you thought was a quality piece of equipment. Not all parts are covered for three years but those that are not generally cost no more than $50.00 to replace and just aren’t worth the extended warranty. It just doesn’t pay to shop anywhere else.
We currently service many of the Dental Offices in the area as well as many small Insurance Agencies, Auto Industry, Hotels and the York and Ogunquit Police Departments. Yes, it’s a Microcosm built Server that is the backbone of the E911 and dispatch systems for this area. So if you are considering a future purchase of a home or office PC check with us first. If we think you can do better elsewhere we will tell you during our meeting. After all, this is a small town and pure honesty is the best policy.
